2021.10.16 14:46 jaribgv Automation failures
I’ve had my Apple Watch for almost a year. Since I got it, I configured some shortcut automations that change the Apple Watch face on certain times of the day. Since updating to Watch OS 8.0.1 last night the automations can’t complete due to a time out error. When opening the Watch app on the iPhone it take about a minute to display de watch faces available, which makes me think it’s related to the issue. I’ve informed about apple about it.

2021.10.16 14:46 figalishus Dissociation and COVID-19 .. Getting back on track?
I have been living with PTSD and dissociation for a while now considering I am also quite young. The last year has been really rough with my dissociative symptoms. I feel like I have been trapped in one of those torture chairs and my captor is a hazey black shadow of myself. My chair is placed at my eyes where everything going on in my life past or present simply passes me by and I cannot react or connect to any of it due to the constraints of the chair. My body is on autopilot. Or alternatively, it feels like I am a walking carcass that has somehow only kept its vision and is dragging its brain on a makeshift leash. I'm sorry if that was confusing, I have always had a hard time explaining what I feel. Other than this constant flatlined state, I experience dissociative episodes of hyperarousal and overstimulation. Usually these episodes are much shorter, very random and much more damaging to the people around me. They begin with this extreme awareness of my own body and then I will become very distressed and start engaging in violent self harm. Most of the time I have little to no memory of the experience after it passes. It is all tiring and scary.
As much as lockdown had made the dissociation worse with the loss of routine and regular interaction, I am terrified as restrictions begin to ease here.
I've been making an effort to get better with the help of my therapist and psychiatrist after struggling especially bad in the onset of lockdown. Hours passed every time I felt I blinked and I would have no recollection of the day, yet alone the day before. Episodes of hyperarousal became frequent. But with help and the lack of external stimulation and triggers, I have recently been able to experience moments where I felt hopeful, connected and in control. Finding and reading other people's experiences here has also been comforting. But all of this progress is so tender and I am not ready to face the world again with lockdown coming to an end. I am terrified of falling back into routine but have also tried thinking positively. Perhaps it will simply be a physical manifestation of my progress and will only drive my healing further? Or will it all be too overwhelming and lead me to sink into a deeper dissociative and/or overstimulated state? I'm wondering if anyone here has experienced or is experiencing anything similar.

I'll be mining iron and suddenly a level 17 will appear, seemingly summoned by the noise of my pickaxe, they'll approach and mine the small iron node next to me with their flint pickaxe before vanishing again. It always makes me smile lol.
I'm not trying to be elitist but the cute noobs are amazing, that's all.

2021.10.16 14:46 jacobjkeyes Special needs students and passwords
Our students (ranging from 5 to 18 years old) have Microsoft 365 accounts with Teams/Email/OneDrive. We have a variety of policies in place to keep them safe like no external emailing and all
The question is of passwords. Teachers have repeatedly insisted that for all age groups it is too burdensome for them to remember a password. Currently, they all have passwords set on the account and maintained / remembered by the parent(s). Works fine for accessing resources at home, but the kids don't know their passwords and thus can't login to anything while at school.
What would you do in this situation to get students securely and consistently accessing their accounts when a parent isn't present? They do not have ID badges or anything we could use QSmart card readers for
